WARRANTY OVERVIEW
Jono & Johno offers a 12-month warranty on most products.
We pride ourselves on selling good quality gear and will be fair and prompt in honouring our warranties. If you’re in trouble, we’ll help you out.
WHAT IS COVERED?
The exact warranty coverage depends on two factors:
- Whether the fault is due to user error or a manufacturer defect
- Whether the fault is minor or major
Minor faults caused by the user
- Parts will be supplied for repair at the user's expense.
Minor faults caused by the manufacturer
- Customers are expected to perform basic repairs as part of our warranty process.
- Jono & Johno will provide replacement parts and instructions for simple repairs, such as installing a recoil starter.
- Jono & Johno will determine whether a fault is classified as minor.
- If unsure about a repair, contact us, and we’ll assist you.
Major faults caused by the manufacturer
- Jono & Johno will arrange a return, refund, or replacement at our expense.
- If preferred (and at our discretion), we may provide replacement parts and contribute to labour costs if you can perform the repair.
Major faults caused by the user
- Where possible, parts will be supplied at the user's expense.
- If the item cannot be repaired by the user, we offer repairs at our workshop at $80 AUD per hour.
- The customer will need to cover return shipping costs for user-related faults.
RETURN PROCESS & SHIPPING COSTS
If you need to return your product:
- In-store return: If you're near a Jono & Johno outlet, you can return the product in person. Contact us first to arrange a return authority.
- Shipping return: If you are not within driving distance, we will provide a return address.
- If the fault is due to a manufacturer defect, we’ll cover return costs.
- If the fault is user-related, the customer is responsible for return shipping.
EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULE
Some products are not covered by warranty, including:
- Engines used in go-karts and stump grinders
OUT-OF-WARRANTY PRODUCTS
If your product is out of warranty and has failed despite minimal use, contact us. We may assess it on a case-by-case basis. If a manufacturer defect is identified, we aim to be fair in resolving the issue—but this is at our discretion.
